David Caples, innkeeper, consultant and inn sales broker, is the workshop leader. David has a Master's Degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University. He and his wife, Susan, restored and opened a five-room bed and breakfast and developed Amelia Island Lodging Systems, a resort management company. They currently own and manage the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge, an award-winning 25-room inn.
 
Helen Cook, is an experienced innkeeper, lodging industry consultant and principal in Lodging Resources and BedandBreakfastForSale.com. With 15 years experience in a corporate environment, Helen is a small business owner experienced in sales and marketing, human resources, product development and operations. She will guide you through the various vehicles available for finding the inn of your dreams.

 
Vicki Beaudry, has impressive commercial lending experience. She will show us the 'yellow brick road' to inn financing, equity requirements and business plans.

     Seminar Details and Registration

Our seminars include 20+ hours of instruction, 250-page course manual, current industry studies and handouts, informal consulting during the seminar and a Certificate of Achievement. The seminar fee is $195 for an individual or $295 for a couple or two partners.

Accommodations for Friday and Saturday nights are available at award-winning Elizabeth Pointe Lodge or the host bed and breakfast. We recommend staying at Elizabeth Pointe Lodge or another area bed and breakfast to take full advantage of the experience. Room rates will vary depending on the lodging option you choose.  We will assist you with lodging recommendations and reservations subsequent to your seminar reservation or you may book your room directly with the inn.

Meals for the seminar include dinner on Friday night, breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday at Elizabeth Pointe Lodge or the host bed and breakfast. Seminar discussions and informal consulting continue during meals. A special meal package is available for seminar participants. The package price is $95 per person for guests of the inn and $125 per person for seminar participants staying elsewhere.
